Chris Wilson
I am a bit (well a lot) of a Volvo nut. I was just keeping abreast of what mods the Swedes were doing to the all alloy straight six 3 litre in my V90 (last of the RWD "proper" Volvos) when I happened upon this site. The 230 odd meg video of them starting this woderful toy is worth grabbing if you have a fast connection. Lovely work! http://www.ofiengineering.se/
Pete
Holy cow. They're a bit mad those Swedes.
Chris Wilson
In the History section are hundreds of photos detailing the build, stunning work, just lovely, especially as they seem to be working in much less than F1 surroundings, too. The Swedes and the Ozzies seem to turn out some really unique stuff.
Pete
Haven't quite worked out body styling though have they?
Pete
There's a shed load of self fabricated parts too. Talented guys. That Alternator bracket is a work of art in itself.
Chris Wilson
Hmm, I would buy a 2 door 240 tomorrow if there were any rot free ones in the UK. I love retro Nothing wrong with Swedish Bricks.
Chris Wilson
Just look at this oil filter adaptor, over the top or what? They must have spent months doing all this fabrication. I wish my Swedish was better, I'd love to do a proper translation.
Pete
That reminds me - a lot of people looked at me blankly on Sunday when upon them asking me what bhp your Skyline is putting out is I replied "He doesn't seem to care, just as long as it drives quick and feels right". I asked these guys but they couldn't help. http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/detail/F11857b.jpg Try http://www.systransoft.com/index.html Enter the URL into the box and choose Swedish to English. Pete
360 BHP Felt like more but probably just the Turbo characteristics. What do you expect when you get the 'proper' engine in it?
Pete
Fun video too. (left it downloading over night)

The engine in build (actually it's nearly finished) will give a reliable 700 on race fuel, about 600 on pump fuel. To be frank i think it's OTT for the RWD chassis, I may look for a GTR with a blown engine. then it will need a differemt gearbox `cos it will eat the gears and shafts with the torque! I may run it in the GTS-t for a laugh, but it will be a total overkll for the chassis
