In addition to gauges ....

what else do you need to use them.

Say I was to buy some Defi gauges, I know I need the Control Unit. I presume the gauges come with the relevant sensors, but what else do I need to mount/use them, and where can I buy them.

For instance

Boost Gauge, I guess I'd need a T-piece and some Vac hose (as I'm replacing an existing Mechanical gauge I suspect I can reuse the 'T' and tubing from that one.

Oil Temp/Pressure, I would obviously need some way of mounting the sensor in the sump (?) or at the filter. So can I get a sandwich plate or I think I remember reading somewhere that you can get a sensor mount for the Sump drain plug.

Water Temp - what would I need to mount the sensor.

I've tried searching but can't seem to find anywhere that says exactly what I would need, and where I can buy it.

Also as an aside, which 2/3 gauges would you recommend for a BPU TT, from what I've read it seems little point point fitting an AFR or EGT gauge without a mappable ECU.

Any help guys would be much appreciated

Mike

I don't know about that. BPU cars can run very lean at high boost. Anything over 1.2bar can see your AFR skyrocket into dangerously lean territory.

Mike, the Defi gauges include everything needed to install, all you will need is to buy the Control Unit to link them together. See attached pdf file, this lists the contents included with each gauge.

I'm running a group buy for the Defi range at the moment, click the link in my signiture for details.
