Bob
I've been fiddling about with the dials, 'cos I've got some custom ones made up for me (courtesy of Mook at Skewer ). I found the simplest way was to use the LED 501 bulbs from http://www.ultraleds.co.uk , but still the light distribution wasn't perfect, and I'm a fussy sod sometimes So I tried soldering in a few rings of leds, fed from the original 501 supply, but again there was a few dark patches due to the design of the casing. So now I'm gonna try these, cut to shape and laid underneath the actual dial faces. Should look pretty good, I hope (please excuse the dodgy phone pictures!) TrickTT
When i did mine, i took the instrument panel apart and fitted the leds pointing backwards, away from the dials. The white plastic back of the instrument cluster reflects a nice even spread onto the dials. I'll have to post some pics one day.
