gregsupra4
Hi All Just a quick one really, please be aware that there are a number of Apexi SAFC11's being sold that are faulty. We have had two in the last month from different sources that have not worked. I would advise that if you are planning to get a second hand unit that you see it working before you buy it. Both these faulty units have cost us a small fortune in wasted man hours and caused frustration to our customers. Do not get caught out. JohnA
Can you describe the fault?
gregsupra4
The SAFC's make odd corrections to the Pressure signal voltage into the ECU. Voltage checks have revealed different bypass voltages on both units. The one we working on today was telling the ECU to up fueling by 50% giving us an AFR on idle of 9.8 and continued to provide this upped voltage through all the NE points. JohnA
Could it be that the wrong type of 'load sensor' had been entered? (Disclaimer: I don't mean to teach egg-sucking, but I've seen people do this, and the Apexi instructions in the box I got were *wrong*)
