Fitting front bumper today, and can't seem to get it over the large alloy cross bar thats sits across the front. Does this have to removed, modded ?

Isn't this part of the structual integratity........

I have took it off for now to see if bumper fits and its perfect.

any help much appreciated

cheers

Guys...

Wasn't too happy bout not having this fitted, so out with the angle grinder. The beam has 2 box sections, so I removed the bottom one and left the top box section in place, along with all 6 bolting points. Bumper now fits retaining so part of the beam any how.... :D

Yep, nearly there mate, sorted out facelift indicators today, sorted mesh for the front bumper tranny cooler fitted, modified beam fitted....

So, running car till next week as only transport and then to painters for one last time

the cross member has to be removed in most cases relating to aftermarket bumpers. but the down side is that the front chassis legs are very easily bent/damaged when hit sideways. there is always a down side removing items that are fitted for safety reasons.

but hey i removed mine  who cares about safety when you can have looks :D
