Interesting LHD to RHD conversion

I believe its something to do with a US postal service requirement for right hand drive vehicles, .....but why convert one when you can buy a proper RHD version....thats just Dumb!

Right-hand drive? That's just un-American, boy!

Bit of a stretch to the switches though :) , and how do they get away with all those sharp bits of metal and exposed bolts?

and this from the country which makes it virtually impossible to import RHD cars from Japan ......

Yeah, I don't get it either, but I've seen some of there little postal jeeps and for some reason they're RHD too.:conf: ..and thanks for calling me boy..I don't feel so old now:D

You have to imagine the check jacket and the southern States accent :)

:serious: It's so the posties don't have to step out into the traffic.

:trivia: Pre-war luxury cars often had the steering wheel on the "wrong" side so that the chauffeur could get out and quickly open the door for the passengers to step on to the kerb.
