Do you have an inferiority complex over power....obviously the MX-5 generally does have less power (and much less weight) but it is a smaller open top 2 seater sports car. Does that mean you cannot have fun even at stock power levels.....no Once you add even more power then you can take that fun to a whole new level. I dunno If you knew anything about roadsters or (cars in general for that matter) you would know that the Z4 (even the 3.0 litre) and particularly the Z3 are about as crap as you can get. Because they are BMWs they are manly though right? ha ha ha ha ha. Love it. I wipe the floor with most other roadsters out there and regularly loose fatboy supras and calibras on the twisties. A 320 bhp supra has a power to weight ratio of 195bhp per tonne. Mine is 180 bhp per tonne and its only a 1.6!! Whats so good about out and out power when your car weighs more than a small planet?
