Cooking an egg with a mobile phone.

It would be interesting to see if this can be replicated.

It could be that they are trying to start an urban myth.

For one, two mobiles talking 'to each other' do not have a direct connection as this guy implies.

They talk via their respective relaying transmitters.

There *is* microwave energy involved, but if it can boil a large egg in 3 minutes then most of these annoying people walking with a mobile attached to their head would all be brain-dead by now.

Zombies.

Wait a minute, they ARE! http://www.max-boost.co.uk/stuff/explhoofd.gif

The RF coming out of a phone is more harmful to people who wear glasses. The frame acts as an antenna. What comes out of phones is a few watts of power. The uplink/downlink from a phone isn't that much anyway .. not to cause harm.

- it's the uplink/downlink from a BTS - at maximum power .. a Basestation (a Nokia BTS anyway) can broadcast up to 13KWatts with all timeslots broadcasting.

There was this study where they measured the effect on the brain and a few degrees temp increase was found. Not boiling point, but it's there alright --- hence the health scare. The egg thing above is bollocks.

Smaller heads will be affected more, so they gave a half-arsed 'caution' for children. But the money involved is too much for proper warnings. Govermnents like the UK one made billions by selling these frequencies, they'd be in trouble if they were proven unprofitable.

Very ethical.
