D8MOA
i removed sum the other day in a is200, i just started at 1 corner to peel it off slightly, then pulled it off real quick! like a plaster when u were a kid! then warm sopey water and used a blade to scrape all the glue off the glass,
Scoboblio
I had mine removed when it was first imported (insurance reasons). A local window tint guy simply did what d8moa said - peeled up one corner and used soapy water as he peeled the rest off. I was amazed at how easy it was really. RedM
I have something similar but on my drivers side wing mirror. I can only assume it was once an anti-glare film but has gotten tarnished and just doesn't have the clarity of the passenger side or rear-view mirrors. I tried the Stanley knife thing but after ten minutes I'd gotten nowhere. Anyone had this?
Ben-san
Sounds like I'll need you expertise Ben-san, I know you're reading this. Dude. My 'expertise' meaning 'highly rewarded slave labour'? But... in how many pieces is the glass? Are you thinking of reusing the tint? If so, wouldn't it be too dodgy to put it back on? i.e. furked adhesive? Looks like I may have to pay you a visit today. ArghJae
It's just removing the tint from the rear quarters, not reusing. Will hook up with you about this. Highly rewarded slave labour...........hmmm.
