dangerous brain
Well after some dalliance with the idea of a range rover I decided last night to stay with the aristo albeit an auto one. Here is the picture of her from last nights auction http://www.showoffyourcar.com/cars/TOYOTA/14659.jpg http://www.showoffyourcar.com/cars/TOYOTA/14658.jpg I was a bit worried that I wouldn't find another sorted out aristo but looks like there are quite a few japside available that have been tweaked so I'm probably going to get a couple and see which one I prefer and then sell on the one I don't want as I was torn between this one and a black one I saw thats going through on saturday. dangerous brain
Same as a TT supra mate. Exact same engine
RedM
I take the Aristo is a fair bit heavier though. You going to erm, make her faster?
dangerous brain
Its not that much heavier about 200 kgs I think as the supe itself is a fairly heavy machine. I'm not 100% sure whats been done power wise but it isn't stock as its got electronic frippery like boost controllers etc. Big twins are a future option on any car I choose to keep
Gaz Walker
The MKII is only 1750kg, so not much heavier than a Sup Good choice DB, you know it makes sense! Regards, Gaz.

dangerous brain
That Jurgen is a pesky bastad. dangerous brain
just out of curiosity (and possibly future practicality issues) where is the best place to get one of these given that i live in Scotland? Japan mate. You can get them in this country but they are habitually not really modified and as stock look a bit pants. Speak to mr Jurgen dood he can bring you one in through Newcastle for ya. Envy can deal with all your initial MOT stuff and get it UK legal. You can even have it delivered on a transporter like I did with my last one. Jurgen is so helpfull he does everything but pay for the car for ya
Ian W
PM is on it's way to Jurgen me thinks.... what's ur insurance like on the Aristo DB? comparative to the Supe?
dangerous brain
Mines quite modified so its the same price transfered over. The new one though I can see being a bit cheaper with it being an auto not the only manual street car in the UK.

I've been Googling up some pics of Aristos and agree that they suffer from SSS (Soarer Silvia Syndrome) and look a bit rubbish until some decent wheels and a nice kit are put on. No that one in my avatar is for sale. Its a dark mettalic green colour not black. Its a Manual car the only one that is street use not drag use in the UK and one of not very many 6 speeds in the world. I am also tempted by a black one I have seen and as my supe fetched enough cash to buy 2 aristo's I've decided to probably import the black 1 as well and see which of the 2 I like and then sell the other one on as well as the green one.
