Anyone ever found money and lost it too, sort of

lived in a very dodgy area inmy second year at uni

 

came home from the 2nd night out while living in that house, found on the matt what at first, rather rapid count, appeared to be over a grand in used notes. 5 mins after said rapid count came a knock at the door, i said to my flatmate, come down, and bring the baseball bat

 

stood atthe door was an angry looking man in a baseball cap

 

he simply asked if anyone had posted any money through our letter box. i handed him the money quick as a flash (my flatmate was well unimpressed stood behind the door - wanted to keep it )

 

chappy gives me £40 as he is proper chuffed at havin the cash back, and says as his parting shot if you ever need any pills or geaar, you let me know ok?! he lived on the next road and i assume someone had posted thru the wrong letterbox.

 

i nodded and shut the door! few months later, i came in from work, talkin to my mum on the phone, shutting the living room curtains, and i spy 2 armed policemen in kevlar vests in our garden - i assume they were 'busting' him

 

like i said - rough area

The thing is once you've spent 30K, if they then asked for it back you'd be fecked wouldn't you? So I just decided to collect the interest.

 

You can only imagine the phone calls I had from the bank seeing that kind of money jumping in and out of my account!
