Nic
I've just been reading about the new GTR and Evo X and was wondering now that Nissan and Mitsubishi have laid out their hand, will Toyota finally decide to launch a new Supra? The GTR and Evo X are due for launch in 2007, so not much time left, but I seem to remember Toyota suprising everyone with the MKIV Supra when it was launched, I hope they are planning to do the same with the MKV. The Lexus concept doesn't do it for me, I just don't think it appeals to the same market as the GTR. Toyota need a new hero car such as the Supra to compete in JGTC a long side the GTR IMO. I'm also thinking that this could be the year that Toyota start to see success in F1.
RedM
Considering Toyota are stopping production of the MR2 and Celica due to emissions laws, I'd say that the preformance market isn't something that features heavily in their long-term plans.
