Robert
looking to get a system like this soon, are they any good?
Gamer
I have one and I love it.... Does everything I need it to.. the menu's can be a bit fiddly but otherwise it works great. Sat-nav is spot on and does the locating by GPS and a built in gyroscope so no loosing signal in bad GPS reception areas...

Green Peace
Been using it for a month now and the sat nav is great.. and it covers all of europe on the supplied DVD software.. God its so tempting...wish i hadn't seen it he he, on my Alpine system it used to name places whilst on Motorways like 'take next exit towards Uxbridge' very useful abroad to check and correspond with the signs..does it do this on the Pioneer? I guess there is no available Camera detection option...also how secure is it does it have some sort of face off system...thanks !!! Cheers Si
supRo
Got one of these - great system! Shows car fuctions too e.g speedometer (more accurate than stock) and voltmeter. The Sat unit has aux and camera inputs too.
RobSheffield
just to add some variety, i have the Alpine IVA-d310RB and nve-099 nav system - very nice too and similar spec to the Pioneer. doesnt have vehicle dynamics software like the pioneer though
IDO
not sure on camera detection option.. still haven't read the manual!!!! if not, there is probably someone somewhere with a software hack for it... (must look in to this!) ps yep the bottom half of the "face" comes off for security (there is even a little flashing red led to show theiving w@***rs that the head unit has been taken out!) supRo
The sat unit has a dedicated camera input (handy for parking - rear view!) IDO - from audio source screen go to setup and there's an option to turn this on As far as I know, the Sat Nav data disk security is yet to be cracked should you wish to make a 'Backup' copy! IDO
Hi, supRO think you miss-understood, think green peace was asking if there was a Camera detection function.. as in does it know where speed cameras are.. like road angel thingy.. I am sure one of my mates saw on a ice fourm that there was a hack to put the speed camera details in..

There is an option for Camera detection that you can switch on but I don't think it's for the UK as it doesn't work!
