michael
The amber 'EOBD System Engine Control System' light has appeared on the dash of my '00 1.2 16v Punto and I want it to go away without just taking the bulb out Basically the car feels the same as usual, fuel economy seems fine, engine sounds OK, everything looks fine visually but obviously a sensor or something has decided it's not happy. Their description for the light is: "Fixed Light - warning of a fuel feed / ignition system failure which may increase emissions in exhaust or cause possible drops in performance, poor handling and high consumption" No idea why an engine fault might have an impact on the handling but it's Italian.... Anyway it's a light that's supposed to go away when the fault is cleared but I can't think what the fault would be given the car feels OK. I'm guessing electrics due to it being a Fiat and I'm guessing a trip to a diagnostic computer will be my only way of knowing more but thought I'd open it up to you fine people just in case..... Alex
It's either pay for the OBD to be read or guess what might be up with it...is there any forum which has a technical work around like the ODBI's short out the diag port trick?
