TLicense
I've just upgraded from 6 to cs, and guess what... I can still see the pictures that I took with my camera on it. Other than that errmmm.......
SupraStar 3000
CS, but unless you really going to explore ever option any version will do. I use CS all day (Illustrator and Photoshop mostly) but version 5 works fine for the basic stuff.
black cat
7.0 here
Pixelfill
An old colleague of mine swore by version 4 - he was really put out by the interface changes that were made in 5 and above, and never really got to grips with the newer versions. Don't know why personally, I don't remember many major changes, only history really springs to mind. I personally have no real preference between any of them. Out of interest, those of you who use Adobe software at work, have you really read the license agreement. If you haven't may I direct your attention to clause 2.4 (my personal favourite ) Mike
Shovels
The newer the version - the more things it can do - but it now needs a fairly beefy machine to run on (if you want it to run well). I love using V8, but for the average user I would probably recommend getting Photoshop Elements - You can still do loads - most of the advanced stuff most people never, and wouldn't want to use.
