mad k
Thanks for pluging my car Kenny As much as i need the car away ASAP now, I couldnt really acept the drop in value CJ offerd for the car the way it sits. Ive took a look on Autotrader at cars around your budget CJ, But there either N/A's, High Milers or Old & Tatty. http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/cars_search.asp?page=0&modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=TOYOTA&model=SUPRA&variant=&keywords=&min_pr=7000&max_pr=8000&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=g61+1lf&miles=1500&max_records=200&source=0&photo=1&sort=3&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH K. TLicense
Yeah I personally wouldn't buy a totally standard car, simply because I KNOW what would happen - the power itch starts very quickly And it's a damn site cheaper to buy a modified car than to buy a standard car and modify it. And you just know you won't be happy with bog standard Col, you gotta go BPU I'd try to find a mildly modded but good condition motor. I prefere stock as then you can make the modifications if you want them, and you can make sure they're done properly. When I was looking for mine, I ended up going stock as every modified car I looked at I thought "look at how they've done that - cowboys!" Seriously thought Col, you got the orange car to be just how you wanted it to be, and you knew that you had it done right. Would you want to buy a car that had been tinkered with without knowing 100% that it was pucka-dink? I wouldn't even go for anything that had a nose-cone or spoiler. I'd always be wondering why it had had a new nose. I'd always be wondering if it had been shunted, and then I'd always be picking at the quality of the job. Maybe I'm too much of a perfectionist

Maybe I'm too much of a perfectionist I think that the fact I am looking at the import market means i have to be more open minded about what I buy. I agree that utopia would be a pefectly stock car with no mods, low mileage and perfect condition - but they come at a price eh? When I bought the Orange one (then silver) it had already had slights mods done but that didnt bother me. I think you are right - you are a bloody perfectionist! terribleturner
I think the one with the gold wheels for me. But what i can never understand (and no offence meant if anyone falls into this catogory) is why do people get half a jit on?? Alloys and skirt, front and alooys etc.... Does that mean they are younger people who couldn't afford to buy the whole lot in one go and thus may be more likely to thrash the car?? Just my opinun though. Well done on the sale mate. letmeshowyou
CJ what about Penguins car? Couldn't believe the price he's got that up for!
CJ
CJ what about Penguins car? Couldn't believe the price he's got that up for! I am tempted by that and may revisit it tomorrow. In saying that, I have kind of set my mind on a 6 speed now - feck knows why as I love the auto box.
mikeyb10supra
Well, it has finally happened - the Orange Beast is sold Gamer has bought it so I know it will be well looked after but I still feel quite sad. In fact, so sad i realise that I need a cheaper Supra as the withdrawal symptoms have started and she hasnt left my drive yet. I have been offered these cars to look at and at very good prices. What are peoples opinions? The silver with the aftermarket bonnet is a 1993 GZ auto, the black one a 1994 RZ auto, the one with gold wheels is a 1996 RZ-S auto and the last one is a 1993 RZ 6 speed. I am erring towards the 6 speed although the GZ does look nice too. sorry to hear of the sale mate just think CJ new project car, and a nice fresh canvass to work from....always loook on the upside mate Mikey
