michael
Something I've posted about before and read about from others but I've not seen anyone post a solution to the issue as yet. Anyway I had a better look into this over the weekend and I've fixed mine Basically the bolts used as standard have a tapered section near the end of the thread, this ensures that they centre in the hole when tightened. In order to give some adjustment to the catch you can swap these for regular 6mm ones (I used 20mm long) with large diameter washers. Simply remove the top two and loosen the bottom one (this is just a nut) - lift the catch a few mm and then tighten the new bolts. Mine was only missing the catch by a hair originally, a high speed run to test for bonnet lift and a reassuring 'click' as I closed the bonnet today has made me a happy man Anyway I just thought I'd share this, it's a very simple one (and may have been mentioned already) but I know it's a problem that a few people have.
