RiceRocketUk
hi, picked up my car this week but I`m waiting for the registration number to come through, its very hard being patient. Needs a pretty good clean inside and i want to start to add some of the finer touches, like dials and a covereing for the dash etc in "carbon fibre" material. I have seen these on ebay , can anyone give advise good or bad points on this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4603847013&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 I`m also looking for dials, I found these which I like but looks like they onlty do them for the Left hand drive market, unless someone can point me in the direction of a seller of these or anything similar http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8031250995&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 thanks in advance

RiceRocketUk
you`re not kidding, they`re about 5 times the price as well!
Benzsupra
Don't know about the dask kit but the fuel & temp gauge on the dials is for a left hand drive. Make sure you check with the seller that they come for a right hand drive car before buying. Maybe a safer bet to use someone on here i.e. http://www.miami-gt.com they do these dials and your ceartain to get the right ones. They also do the dash kits i think. have a look on the site or contact Paul E on here or check the forums page for the traders. Thats about as helpful as i can be. terribleturner
Dave the best look Carbon Fibre interior i've seen is the stuff Nic does. Doug (Classone) has it in his and really looks the dogs. Think he posted pictures of his a while back. Paul's dials (Miami GT) really are the best to go for. Be carefull with the ebay ones as people will tell on here they are that price for a reason
RiceRocketUk
It frightens me how much he wants, he seems reluctant to give a price so that means its expensive, however i`ll pay along and ask a price. Re the dials, M-GT ones are a lot more money however I`m not liking them as much as the ones on Ebay, not because of the price but because of the night time effect, do you know anyone that might do a set like that for RHD. I have found a company in Scotland that will manufacture a set like that, they need a set of originals to manufacture which I would happily supply, however they would want more than one purchaser for it to be worthwhile for them. Any ideas?

Do you mean me? Expensive? The last dash set I sold for £255 exchange, including postage to UK, there are a lot of people wanting them though which is why I usually ask for offers. Nic
i have seen some of the kits on ebay dont have the hole for the button to fold the mirrors in, im looking for suggestions because a have just removed the walnut trim some sod stuck on mine! You could always send me you dash panels and I will get then coated for you in a carbon fibre effect print, the coating is a deep high gloss and very durable. Turn around time would be around 4 weeks from posting me the panels to receiving them back (1 week postage to HK, 1-2 weeks coating, 1 week postage to UK). I have just done another members set which he seems very pleased. Car is still driveable without the dash panels, all be it not very pretty. Here are some pics of my dash http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/852/cimg00107ou.jpg http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/4218/cimg00054iq.jpg http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/3076/cimg00066bp.jpg http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/7321/cimg00160cx.jpg

scotspower
I also used a kit supplied by B.D Trims, its a cheaper option than Nic's coated one and depending if its abuse, i.e. how often you require to remove dash panels it most likely may not last as long. I had the same dilemma but price finally pushed me towards the stick on kit. B.D. trims http://www.dashtrims.com/dash-trim-kits-on-sale.php yep its a good fit
Nic
I'll have a new moulded dash trim set available in next couple of weeks, pics and details to follow shortly
