Chris Wilson
If I were to buy this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...Pr4_PcY_BID_IT and it weigehed about 25 kilos, what is a rough estimate on carriage charges from the USA to the UK? Thanks, hopefully someone ships heavy things from the US and can give a guesstimate!
Whitesupraboy2
Chris i suspect they will only ship via who they choose, as an insurance it will get to you. I had a clutch kit shipped to me and it was $89 and took 5 days to get here. I aint got a clue how much a clutch kit weighs! (but im thinking you will )
Chris Wilson
Who are best to use if I arrange carriage from the UK? UPS? Cheers, i suspect the manifold is a bit heavier than a clutch kit, but not twice as heavy.
Gaz Walker
Chris, You'd be looking at $150 ish through USPS etc, with the couriers being slightly more. Depends how big they pad the boxes out too as well (international is on weight and volume) When the get he you'll pay £10-£13.50 clearance charge plus VAT and duty on the declared value. UPS will arrange collection from the US, but you'll pay through the nose compared to the sender in the US.

Guest gzaerojon
to avoid the hefty import duty i used to get the sender to put the value to no more than $50 anything more and you start to pay. depends on how big the risk is i guess, but i've never had probs with us parcels
