raymanuk
I think he is a bit unlucky considering the injuries to the squad but we should still be able to play to a satisfactory level with our bench and resrves. Glad to see him go. A question to all you NUFC fans, who would you have to replace him....?
hogmaw
All I can say is... THE TOON ARE GOING DOON hahahhaha
merckx
I don't think we'll go down, "we're too good for that". Souness wasn't very lucky with the injuries, Owen and especially Dyer who could've made a big difference. Boomsong at the back is hopeless. God knows who'll we get next. SuperSupra
I'm gutted (as a Liverpool fan), cos Newcastle were hilarious to watch under Souness! Was great entertainment to see Boumsong and Bramble get turned inside out by 'average' players!

Before yesterdays game we had the 6th best defensive record in the premiership which most outsiders don't realise. The lack of goals has been the real problem problem. CardiffSupra
Souness is a very poor manager in todays football world, £50mil he's spent! Argggg! you'd expect champions league with that sort of money being splashed out!!
DaveM
What a ridiculous time to sack your manager, two days after the transfer deadline. If they had sacked him at the end of the season I would of thought Sven was a strong contender. I hope for Newcastle supporters sake that they don't put Glenn Roeder in charge until the end of the season, they will struggle to stay up if they do. I wonder what the odds are on Newcastle, Middlesborough and Sunderland all being relegated.

The lack of goals has been the real problem problem. The funny thing about that is that on paper they have one of the most attacking sides with some players full of real talent and flair! Whereas, Boumsong, Bramble etc (with the exception of Taylor who's very good, although surprise surprise - injured!) are a complete joke! The amount of money he's spent in the yr and a bit he's been there is probably up there with Chelsea, if not more. Say no more, Souness is a Championship manager, at best. CardiffSupra
yes earny is a cracking little player, he will prove robson wrong, also not letting koumas play for us in the cup games! Grrrr

Grrrr 'tis very surprising he didn't play him more, and opted for fecking Kanu instead! Also agree about Koumas, harsh! He's a very good skillful player. Anyway what do we know, we didn't perform a miracle with West Brom last season so I guess he knows what he's doing, maybe.....
CardiffSupra
dont rate him as a manager, i just want them to go down to teach him a lesson
SuperSupra
Ah fair enough! I think he's a pretty good manager, would struggle at a top club though, seems to have issues with high profile players. I'd like Sunderland (joke side), Newcastle (just cos it'd be really funny) and maybe West Brom to go down.
