Bill Prawn
I've won an auction on e-bay that I am having doubts about. Because of the following: 1. The seller won't accept pay-pal. 2. He will only send info via e-bay and no direct e-mails 3. On his seller info it had one name (other than his acct name) which has now gone and the address he wants the cheque sent to has another name 4. Wants cheque made payable to Post Office Ltd The item is only £25 but it's still a principle of losing cash if it's a scam. Plus I don't want a negative because of his strange way of dealing with things. Any views?
JohnA
I'd complain to eBay and ask them to vouch for this seller. That would make it easier to get rid of any bad feedback he might be inclined to leave if things turn sour later on (it doesn't look legit right now, does it?) Guest gzaerojon
i guess its a good thing that he responds through ebay and no direct emails, this means that all messages can be looked at by ebay in the event of any investigation. i would imagine he wants the cheque made payable to post office so he can cash it, i'd watch that one. whats his feedback like? whats his location? maybe you could collect or someone you know that lives near him? Bill Prawn
He has only sold three things. He won't accept collection and a question I asked him contradicted himself. Bad feeling about him so I've contacted e-bay.
