chuck_legend
So, if i fit an intercooler and turn the boost up a bit. what would be the minimum requirements to ensure smooth operation. Have been scanning thru the site and have seen what various ppl have done but i would like opinions on what is essential so i can prioritise. any help appreciated. Pete
So, if i fit an intercooler You mean you haven't got one!? Depends on your final goals too. If you're happy to stick with BPU then most suggest the Chris Wilson SMIC replacement due to it's efficiency and quality. I'm running a 1.2 restricter ring with a standard (good condition) SMIC - seems ok at the moment. We'll see on hot days.

I havent as yet. looking at hks fmic tho. tbh i am not wanting to go insane for power. i would be happy with bpu or maybe slightly more. restrictor ring will be a must if a de-cat i believe?. should change plugs aswell? and fuel pump?
