Doughie Posted January 4, 2002 Share Posted January 4, 2002 car being serviced at the mo. They say i need new front disks (which i knew) AND pads. pads are fairly new. Q. Is it necessary to always change pads when stocking new disks on or are Toyota just trying to flog me a set of their pads ? if i leave the current pads on there (Porterfield R4S), how long will it take before they are fully bedded in to the new disk ? It doesn't matter what pads you use with a new disk as long as they are in good condition.
