sarjo
Can anyone recommend a decent wax to really bring out the shine on a car? Using Mer at the mo and really not happy with the results. Cheers.
_Rob_
i use Autoglym super resin polish and then Autoglyn ultra deep shine. excellent results! i used to use turtlewax high gloss wax which also gave a really good shine, but not as deep as the Autoglym. oh, and micro fibre cloths are the future! Dragonlady
Meguires is good for shine but no good against protection for bird droppings as they still eat into the paint work. The best one i have found is Autoglym ultra deep shine followed by Autoglym deep gloss protection. This one is really best for dark colours. Use Autoglym super resin for light colours followed by the deepgloss protection. The are both good for protection against all the elements and all the birds can through at you. The ultra deep shine is designed for dark colours. You are best leaving the car for an hour before applying the deep gloss protection, then let that cook for 40 min ( gass mark 4 ) before buffing. It takes some buffing mind.

TimH
The best products I have ever used (and still do) are the clearkote products - they are made from carnauba wax which means no chalky white residue (important if you have a dark car). Pre Wax with: http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk/sp/images/products/polish/clearkote01.gif Wax With: http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk/sp/images/products/maintenance/clearkote03.gif Go to http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk to get some, the result is: http://www.compass-systems.co.uk/celica/supraback1.JPG

sarjo
Great stuff. You all seem to have dark cars, what about what works for lighter paints?
