supragold
I have a set of 18" Volk wheels that need refurbing. The spokes are normal silver but behind the spokes they are anodised blue. I'd like to keep them like this if poss. One of the wheels is also cracked on the inside lip. I've been told this can be welded and machined but don't know who does this. Can anyone help. Thanks Mark
tbourner
Ooh I've got those in 17". I got offered £250 for them including 4 almost new tyres - probably not worth refurbing TBH.
Pete
I disagree. They were very expensive new and are very light. I have the same in 18" and they are about as close to standard offset as you can get too. I too am thinking of refurb, but think I'll probably just do them all one colour. I can't see anyone wanting to take on the two tone as it's very fiddly masking the little blocks and the volks text.
TimH
You can try wickedwheels they are actually based in Suffolk (Saxmundham to be precise). I have never used them but I know of a few people that have and said they were good
tbourner
I disagree. They were very expensive new and are very light. OK, I'm just telling you what I know. My 17" ones won't sell for any more than the cost of the tyres that they're wearing. I don't know how much they were new as they came on the car - does it matter how much they cost new? These are cars we're talking about here not anything that actually makes money!!
Jurgen-Jm-Imports
envy offer refurb
Pete
does it matter how much they cost new? Of course it depends what they were worth new. It is an indication of the quality. Do you reckon a set of cheap Smiths wheels would be worth the same as decent Racing Harts after 5 years usage? Having said that....You only get what people are going to offer you though! supragold
Think I might just get them refurb'd in one colour and forget about keeping the blue. Might appeal to more buyers and it'll be easier to do. As for the value. maybe its because they are 17" you can't sell them. 18" have more appeal. Volk wheels are a very good wheel but like it says above they're only worth what someone will pay I suppose.
