uk-rich
can't make my mind up about the dash, have been thinking about carbon coating it (by nic in hong kong) but not sure if to paint it or not, and then there is the colour choices !! the car is silver and i think a silver dash may be too much, maybe black, who knows any thoughts
colsoop
I have experimented with a silver finish and a black finish ( both painted) I agree the silver is too much but i quite liked the black painted dash, i used a gloss black, but matt black looks good to if you like it subtle. The carbon fibre coating looks really good, from the pictures i have seen, its a tough decision, how about mix and match ?
scooby_doo_do
Not sure if this will help, but heres a pic of my dash in silver... http://www.tsjelectrical.co.uk/dash.jpg
Mike B
I had an all carbon dash on my last sup and liked it - the new sup is very clean inside - and I have an all carbon kit to go on but I don't have the heart to put it on - everyone I have asked says leave it be... jamesmark
when i go for a dash paint i am going to go for the very very deep purple with a high gloss finish but then again my car is black i have seen a few of those stick on dash things thingies and no matter what they are horrible and just makes the car dash look like a botched up after thought, but thats just my opinion i think painting is a better option as its a personal touch
uk-rich
if you go for a high gloss finish, does it reflect the sun too much ?

jamesmark
should not reflect to much but i plan to black my car out, its better than some matt finishes
terawua
Hmmmm... my dash panels are sitting in the airing cupboard as we speak - just letting the primer harden before painting them. I have gone for a black pearl colour - not too bright, but just a little sparkly. I hope it turns out okay - maybe some photos are in order.... jackso11
I want a matt black, original finish. need to find somewhere I can get a matt laquer or varnigh from first though.
ChrisSZ
I've done mine with one of those real carbon kits - excellent finish, the weave shows nicely and there's a nice thick high gloss coating on top. The other parts I have painted using a Grappite Gray colour with plenty of laquer:)
Bob
Just about finished mine now - laquered gun-metal grey. Looks pretty good (well, I would say that! ) and don't have any problems with sun glare.
_Rob_
On the topic of this, has anyone ever covered / trimmed the dash pannels in leather? when i (eventually) do mine, id like em trimmed up in ivory leather to match the seats. ive never seen this done, am i to assume it hasnt been done?
