chuck_legend
Was out in the car racing an evo, i was using the manual gear selection and all seemed ok. i changed into D but the gearbox then wouldnt change from 3rd to 4th, it just kept hitting rev limiter. i slowed the car down and changed back into auto mode. after that everything was fine but i havent tried doing manual gear change again. anyone any ideas what this could be and if its an issue. I have had the car serviced and mot'd since and nothing was daid

JohnA
As said, 'manu' mode hasn't got 4th gear mate. You have to put it in 'O/D' mode to get the 4th gear. I such cases I've found that leaving it in 'D' and just flooring the pedal gives similar times. Turn off Traction Control if you're desperate to shave the last fraction of a second (at the expense of wearing down the box though)
