Greddy Oil Pressure Gauge Electrical Connections

Hello guys:

SO I am currently attempting:drown: to install a couple of Greddy gauges (boost and oil pressure). I am having a big PITA identifying all my sources for 12V, Ignition line, Parking Light, ground... I know I can get some power and ground from the harness down at the ECU but there should be a simple way. Has anyone of you performed this already or have some basic suggestions based on experience. Your help is greatly appreciated:sos: .

I mounted my control units in the space under the stereo, you can take most of the feeds from the stereo:0v, 12v, lights. If you want your switched +12v on accesory, use the stereo feed, or there's a switched +12v on the heater control plug that works off position 2 on the key

Go to your local B&Q or Wilko, pay £2.00 for a circuit tester, basically a screwdriver looking instrument, with a pointy, sharp end, a light and a earth wire.

Locate a suitable earth, and then poke the pointy end into wires, if it lights up you have power!, try with the key switched to position 2 and test.

It is a safe way to test, without damaging the wires.

Thats how I did it!

Just wanted to say thanks, what I did was:

since I had a Greddy Turbo Timer and Harness, I took the 12V and the ON signals from the harnes itself (red and green). The ground will be shared with the ground from the Greddy (driver seat behind the rug... there is a sweet spot for ground there) and the parking light... well I have a tester like the one that was mentioned and I will plug it there.

This should clear things up.

My only worry with the ignition plugs is that the greddy manual states that power sources should be taken away from the ignition power due to the noise that might be brought into the signal (something like that)... I just took power from the line in the greddy harness that goes into the greddy tt and not the actual ignition line (just in case).

thanks again, thanks again!!!
