sooper-supra
Is there going to be a club stand there this year?
SimonB
I expect so. Let's hope the organisers/police are a bit better this year. Last year they wouldn't let me through to the club stand, directed me right into the middle of the wrong end club stands, then I had to wait until the police started letting cars through and then ages more to get back out because the entrance was blocked before eventually making it. Year before that they forgot to allocate our space!
MrAngry
It's the same weekend as the France trip isn't it?

Dragonball
Not really - we had to arrange a weekend and then they announced it afterwards. I organised Japfest for the club last year...so hopefully Ray will be able to get on board with this one But speed is of the essence - the old company running it has been sold and I'm pretty sure it is different people etc.... SupraStar 3000
That was funny, trying to hold on to the gazebo as it tried to do a mary poppins with us Watching the pitgirls/totty run for shelter with bits wobbling around and poping out was fun too. :more:
Burna
bits wobbling around and poping out That sounded like me too, was right at the other end of the scooby mile when it started to piss down. It was a big mistake wearing just a white shirt that day and no coat, everyone (including my mate) had a good laugh at my not so athletic physique on show all the way back to the car park Mentally scarred by Jap Fest forever
ivan
But speed is of the essence - the old company running it has been sold and I'm pretty sure it is different people etc....They got bought out. The same guy (Ian Cruickshank) is organising it again this year - and TRAX. Wasn't much fun on the track though guys. No, I tell a lie - it was great until the Evo went and spoilt it for us. CJ
I thought last years event was a crock of shit. Bad organisation, poor trade entrys and crap weather. I decided then I would not attend that one again.

ivan
To be fair on the organisers last year, they were right in the middle of being bought out and were doing their best to get things sorted while under new management. I was speaking to Ian quite often and can understand the problems he was having. Hopefully this year he'll have things well in hand. The thing that caught my eye out of everything last year was Dales "Skunk" Supe on the stand right opposite my MX6. Kinda made my mind up on my next car there and then... (Oh, and your bright orange beastie too CJ )
RobSheffield
i was there last year and was disappointed with the trade stands too. i think i arrived as the Supras were going on track which left the club stand deserted then i went to watch, and the 'hurricane hit' i stayed though, with true british grit, and after it stopped it was a great day - much drifting. ill probably go again this year and see what is going on....Ray where are you?
