hob
"But claimants who refuse to take part in back-to-work schemes risk losing part of their benefits, Mr Hutton said." Risk loosing? its either you want a job or your out, deport them to a slacker country.
Scoboblio
"There will also be moves to get a million older people and 300,000 single parents back into work, he said." I'm all for this as it's great to have as few people claiming benefits as possible.... IF someone actually starts employing the over 50's! Pete
IF someone actually starts employing the over 50's! I just took on a warehouse bloke who is 55. I had a complete range of people, but he was out of work, keen and experienced.
colsoop
Its a great idea but I have lost all faith in schemes to do this and that promised by the government, so i will see how it pans out.
peter richards
im not one to take the piss , but ive worked all my life and paid all my ni contributions since i was 17 . but as some of you know i ruptured a disc in my spine last february , and so the saga begins . ive had to quit my well paid job . start my own business because they told me i could do some work . the first time ive ever had to ask these twats for help , and i get fxxxxd off . i can see what they are saying about long time claimants , but i needed help when i was in the process of recovering . it seems to me that ive been penalised for the people that are claiming when they could be working . sorry for the rant
Scoboblio
I know what you mean Peter, a mate of mine was made redundant after years in the same job paying tax and NI without fail... yet they tried to fob him off from jobseekers allowance when he was down on his luck Ok so it's not incapacity benefit but should still be the same thing - there to help people out when they're down (that and take care of people who are unable to work of course). peter richards
im just annoyed that the first time i hold my hand out for help and i get fxxk all . when it seems others get everything , but in trying to target the said others, people like myself are tarred with the same brush .
