Sorry -alarm again

hi all

here i go again with that flipping alarm. i have spoken to several people today about the alarm remote ecu and have had various responses for why its not working. the first one is i have cooked something inside it; the other one is it needs re-programming. just want to know what anyone out there thinks. i have been told toyota haven't got any ecu boxes in the country and they won't be delivered until the 26th . when scooter replied to my thread the other day, he mentioned that christian may possibly have an ecu available so, if you happen to read this thread christian, could you please pm me.

what does everyone out there think? is it time to change this alarm? what should i change it for and is there anyone out there who can do it.

thanks

Sorry, this isn't really going to be much help as I don't know very much about the stock alarm... I know it's a Scorpion 5000 series, and I know they're not very reliable. Most of the ones I have seen have had various faults on them...

Personally, I'd recommend changing the alarm for something more modern. Alarm technology has moved a long way since 1993. You no longer have remote keys that drop out of sync with the alarm, and most of them have in-built diagnostics to help you identify a fault.

Personally, I'd go for either a Toad Ai606 or a Clifford Concept 300, Concept 500 or Concept 600... I've got the Concept 600...

You're a fair way away from Maidstone, but if you want any more help, feel free to call me on 01622 683044.

Good luck!
