Cops on my doorstep

Recommended Posts

Two cops just came to my house. Apparently they have arrested a couple of guys for "car crime" and while being interviewed one of them has admitted to breaking into my Supe back in Sept last year! This was the original thread about it.

Funny thing though, these guys broke into 4 or five cars in our road that night but they didn't remember the road name or anything the only thing they could remember was that it was a Toyota Supra. The cop said he did a search for reported crimes involving Supras and mine was the only one in the area. So, another benefit of having such an unusual car :D

Depending on your previous circumstances, you might want to be careful when deciding to open the door to police-officers. Especially if you've had the odd NIP sent and chose not to respond, lol.

They've been known to send police officers to some addresses (bit after the expiration of the NIP "deadline") armed with pictures hoping that the punter will open the door and be shamed (or bullied) into owning up.

Long shot, but hey...:rtfm:

(hasn't happened to me by the way, but I know of a case or two)

not so much a benefit if you were smoking crack with your whore
Luckily she was at work

Hopefully. They asked how much it cost to replace the broken window.

I didn't know they were coppers. They were in plain clothes, very casually dressed in fact. One of them appeared to be about 16 years old.

what and they just casually 'popped' round to tell you this....?

and they wanted what???

They wanted a statement, seeing as they never bothered coming round before now. When I originally reported the crime they said on the phone it wasn't worth sending anyone out.

So does this open the door to a civil case against the scroat now? Surely if he's admitted to it it'll be a walk in the park....
I'd settle for his name and address :D

They got nicked for something and admitted to other, previous criminal behaviour. Did they expect a bulk discount or something?
Actually, yes. If you're getting nicked for a few things bunging a few TICs doesn't add much at all to sentance.

Get some compo off them for that door glass you had off me!
I'll try mate! £300 wasn't it? :sly:
