Gerry
Noticed a few times that my ST200 (OK estate) had been locking itself just after I pull away recently, well..... Pulled my Mondeo up outside the garage to unload it this afternoon, left the engine running and got out, only to have the car lock itself ! Engine running and keys in ignition with all doors locked !!! I have a spare key but keep it at work, about 20 mins away, after trying to unlock it with other keys, screwdriver etc etc (don't laugh, but they do it on telly) no result. Thought OK will have to take the Supe (in the garage) go to work and pick up spare key - bugger. Then realised that 1) the Ford was in front of the garage and 2) there is no God ! Finally had to use daughters car to go to work (obviously absolutly no fuel in it) and get the spare key. Finally after nearly an hour get the car unloaded ! Sunday afternoon fun !! Gerry
It's my firm and I use the car mostly for work, but one at home as well may be a good idea !
Whitesupraboy2
dont some cars have this self locking feature about a minute after starting the engine. Its to stop car hijacking. I swear a girl i was seeing had her car do this.

Guru
Most cars lock on ignition or at cetain speed/revs. Bets thing to do is keep the window down slightly
Gaz Walker
Doesn't matter which car I am driving, whenever I get out always put a window down. I guess its habit now having autolocking on most cars I've owned... Gaz.

Soo
Thanx for your replies, can't belive there's nobody mocking me for owning a FORD.. Got to be A, a knackered alarm system (std Ford one) or B, it's somehow got into "anti theft" mode - either way it's not done this for the last couple of years, so don't know why it should start now ! Anybody wanna swap for a Missi Legnum ???

how_supra
Yeah my FTO does that. So annoying. I don't have a spare key either. Perhaps I should try and get one.
