Paul R
Fitted a boost guage this morning and I found that I'm only hitting 10PSI(0.7 bar) when the second turbo kicks in and about 5/6PSI when the first turbo kicks in. Shouldnt I be hetting 12PSI(0.8 bar)?? The car is un-modified, so still has both cats. Could it be that the cats have melted and are blocking air flow? Paul. Alex
That is perfectly normal. Stock. As it should be. With the cats out you'll hit over 1bar. (if you fit a fuel cut defenser)
Steve W
(just as a 'sort of' comparison, my RS Escort was ~7psi Std and when I got it 'Stage-2'd it was still only ~14 - and the wastegate had been altered quite a bit ! ! ! so, 10psi std' sounds pretty good huh ! - also NO CATS in an RS ! ! you've got THIS > > > up yer pipes ! !) Paul R
I know. I got my MR2 Turbo upto 17PSI with a few mods and the cats still in though! I know it is a different car but I think I was expecting the same kinda thing with the supra. I can just imagine the power of the supra with the cats out, an exhaust and FCD now though. I bet at 17psi it's an absolute monster!! Paul.
