SimonB
Ooo, unlucky! You might be able to get one quickly, but fitting it isn't gonna be quick, it's a total nightmare.

Aerotop Dave
Gawd yes, I remember that post! That was a bit of an eye opener. (I've told this (short) story on here before, but another mechanically-minded person on here was talking about this job and said 'I usually charge them £1000 in the hope it'll put them off. Horrible job'. Just about sums it up really. Not Toyota's finest hour, design-wise).

lockys96
what is the heater matrix, and why is it likely to go, lol at me
SimonB
It's what heats the air when you turn your heating on. It's like a radiator that hot engine coolant flows through - the air passes through it and gets heated up. They get can get corroded with age and leak like radiators do. Trouble is you have to take the dash completely out to get to it.
