Help required , oil leaking from a bad place !

Erm, forgive my technical ignorance... but I seem to have oil leaking from what looks like one of those 'cheap' mechanical turbo boost adjusters. Stupid me only just noticed it today.

It is leaking around the small black rubber hose as it connects to the 'adjuster' ... and I have noticed that my acceleration is not so good as it used to be.

So I am assuming the worst, that the setup has damaged one or both of the turbo's and this is where the oil is coming from ?

Any advice gratefully received !

:drown:

Would this be a good time to consider upgrading the stock turbo's to a single ?

The car is a 98 VVTi with about 85k .. if that helps ?

About a 'cap' full I would guess and it looks like it has been over a period of time rather than all in one go.

Hopefully James can shed some light on this before I worry too much !

I know that my car desperately needs an oil change ... I wonder if this is making the problem worse that it really is ?

Any chance of picture of the offending item?? No split hoses around the area? As suggested to me maybe clean the area up and keep a close eye over it for the next couple of days to see how much oil.

As Chris pointed out on mine, they do vent a little Oil mist so could be fine.

When you say acceleration isn't as good what do you mean?? Boosts up slowly? Turbo's coming on later? etc.....
