edd_t
Ok just a quickie! I say Airwolf used to be mostly Black Carbon Fibre with a white/cream under belly. The guys in the department say it was all gloss black with the white/cream belly! Who's correct?

Alex
It was out before CF was! No one knew what Carbon Fibre was in the 80's till the F1 manufacturers started using it in the mid 80's and it was WAAAYY too expensive to waste on a choppy for a TV series. Is it a Sikorsky S-76 or something like that? Ahh no it's a Bell

Ahh no it's a Bell 222 The Airwolf Helicopter The Airwolf helicopter was in actuality a Bell 222A (serial number 47085, registration number N3176S), painted black and white (in a killer whale pattern) and fitted with various prop modifications, such as "turbo" jet engines and engine intakes, retractable "chain guns" at the wingtips, and a retractable rocket launcher, known as the "ADF Pod" (ADF stands for All Directional Firing, as the pod could rotate 180 degrees to fire at targets at the side of the copter) on her belly. incase you wanted to know *cough*

Alex
Street Hawk... The bike itself was a modified 1983 XL500 from Honda, which was used in the pilot. For later episodes an XR500 was used with 11 1984 Honda XCR250's used for stunts.
heckler
Look maa no hands!!! Or pilot! Takes hat out of mouth! It IS a model chopper - look at the rotor.. has an extra set of blades which do the actual control of the copter - besides if you compare it to the first lot of pics - again the rotor is different.
