ChrisB
Just wondering weather it is worth replacing my crumbling intercooler now with the colder weather starting or should i just wait till next summer. Dont really know much about how much damage could be caused from it. Cheers for any help Chris

Barney
Chris I'm in the same boat as you so I've decided to get a Chris Wilson replacement (saving as we speak!!) his beats the Toyota one by a long way on price and from what I've read, quality. BTW Chris (Wilson) if your reading this, do I need to place an order or do you have them in stock, also I'd like you to fit it for me, how long would you need my car for as I live in Bristol. Also did you say all in it would be about £620 fitted? Regards Barney 94UKMK1VTT

Agreed if you dont want a Front mount and are happy with a SMIC then Chris Wilson's has to be the best option over Toyota.
Willson
The next thing on my list is a CW intercooler, but why is a poor intercooler more dangerous in the winter, I would have thought the other way round ?

Wolf, Is that 2 hours once the front bumper is off? How about for a ham fisted individual like me?

I have a batch of 5 on the way from Germany, arriving, hopefully, next week, 2 are already sold. Thanks.

Chris Wilson
Originally posted by Barney Peter, did you fit the GW intercooler or take it to the man himself? Barney 94UKMK1VTT I didn't fit it. Reckon on 2.5 to 3 hours, including bumper removal, IF, big IF, no fasteners are corroded. I did a factory I/C install a few months ago, and a lot of the undertray and bumper side fasteners were buggered. Adds a lot of time and agro to the job, but never seen one as bad before or since, I think it had been driven into the sea at some time
