Alex
Just phone any Toyota dealership and say "4Life Red Coolant"! It's not a unique product.

I need some quick can I purchase any of these or simular from halfords?
Guigsy
Check the website and find out. It's a wonderful thing this Internet thing. If you need some quick just bung some semi synthetic castrol in. Won't do any harm.

oilman
As a top up, pretty much anything is better than letting the oil run low.
DaveR
Has anyone used Millers Oils NanoDrive CFS 10W/60 in a Supra, specifically for a single turbo set up? I'm running the 10W/50 at the moment but as it's time for an oil change I thought I'd find out if this was now the best bet before parting with my hard earned... From what I understand about engine oil the 10W/60 seems like the best of both worlds (same cold start viscosity, etc but with a higher top-end hot temperature rating), but if there's any specific reason why the 10W/50 is still the one to use, I'm open to suggestions. My car is mainly used on the road but will be taken onto tracks as much as possible this year, if that makes a difference... Cheers!
oilman
Hi I'd stick with a 10w-50. Going to a 60 will slow the flow rate when hot and that can push up engine temps and increase wear due to localised pressure. Cheers Tim

oilman
Either of those is absolutely fine to use, according to my info, it doesn't need the LSD additives, but they aren't a problem if they are there. Cheers Tim

sCaz
Sweet! Another question arose the other day in regards to fluid service. I don't have much experience on automatic transmissions and a friend of mine recommended that if the transmission oil did not look like a catastrophe and I didn't know when it last was changed (which I don't) I should just let the transmission oil be because mixing old and new transmission oil apparently could mess up the transmission and it was better left unchanged. Can anyone elaborate on this? Now both alternatives; Change transmission oil and Don't change transmission oil feels bad :-)
LOGIE
When you drop the transmission fluid out of the autobox you'll prob only get between 1.5 - 2.0 litres of fluid out of the sump that's all you should change. There will be about 8-9 litres in total (maybe a little more) but this will be in the torque converter and in the solenoids etc. So in short change what's in the sump and change the filter/strainer. Do this every 30.000miles or so Edited December 30, 2013 by LOGIE (see edit history)
oilman
^^^ What he said. If you are using the correct fluid then there will be no issues mixing them, and as said this happens all the time as in most changes only one side of the torque converter is done. Fly
Sorry if I have missed this but what oil are you advising for v161/160 gearboxes? I'm in the middle of ordering but can't find any recommended oil for my gearbox. Thanks Sorted, ATF fluid required so I got Titan ATF 4400 Edited January 27, 2014 by Fly (see edit history)
