jza800
How about oil to 2jzgte twin turbo bpu.. the only Fuchs i can get local is Fuchs Titan 5w40 GT1 C3 4 ltr, is that fine to my engine????
Scott
5 is a little thick to be honest, but it depends how cold it gets where you are. Where are you? Can you not get a shipment from Opie Oils? If you're in a cold climate then 5w40 will be just fine.
Alex
0 -> 20 = Thinnest TO Thickest = Low Viscosity TO Higher Viscosity = Short Trips, cold starts, quick oil pressure at cold temps TO good long trip protection with slightly longer warm up times. oilman
Hi Generally in a BPU, we'd recommend a 5w-40 and the GT1 is a decent option, but if it gets hard use, the Pro S would be a more appropriate choice. We can send the oil to most places. Cheers Tim
jza800
sometimes i get some hard run/use, but not all the time.. how about the castrol edge (fst) turbo diesel or castrol magnatec both on 5w40 ??? i really think it is a big jungle to find the right oil to our engines
Alex
Have you actually READ this thread? Page 1 Post 1 tells you what to buy...if you have no other clue get what's written there. Diesel Oil?? I mean, REALLY?

Alex
Local, being? I order mine from Opie...2 days to ship at most.
oilman
Hi The Edge and Magnatec 5w-40s will be fine for road use. The diesel bit in the name can be ignored, it's fine for diesel and petrol engines. Cheers Tim

The reasoning being that 5w might run the risk of pushing past seals that might be getting on a bit now. I know the 5w-40 oils once warm are the equivalent of 10w-40 and thicken up, but on start up with the oil not yet at that temp/ thickness is it at risk of pushing past the seals? On a side note, it would be great to get some of the 20% off codes for the 10w-50 versions of the oils that were just on offer there at 5w-40. Cheers Marcus Hi Marcus If you've got a BPU and it's using oil due to it getting past the seals, a 10w-50 makes sense, but if it's not using oil, I'd stick with 5w-40. I think there is likely to be an offer on 10w-50s soon, so keep an eye on our offers. Cheers Tim

Silece2k6
What comes for the 6Spd Torsen Diff?
oilman
Hi The diff needs a 75w-90 GL5 oil. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-673-75w-90-mtfs-manual-transmission-fluid.aspx The Fuchs Syn 5, Millers CRX, Red Line 75w-90 GL5, Motul Gear 300 and Gulf Competition are ideal for the diff. The Fuchs Sintopoid, Castrol Syntrax Longlife, Millers TRX, Motul Motylgear, Mobil SHC and Gulf Syngear are also good choices. black_widow87
Any reason why not to use Fuchs Titan ATF 4000 for my v160? Have seen a couple of guys on here use it in the past.
oilman
Hi The 4400 is a higher performance oil and meets the required Toyota spec. The 4000 is a decent ATF, but is a normal oil and doesn't meet the Toyota requirements. Cheers Tim
black_widow87
Thanks oilman, i'll go with the ATF 4400.

oilman
Hi The Pro R 10w-40 is relatively new, I guess about 6 months old, but I am rubbish with dates. Cheers Tim
Scott
What are the V160/161 options now? They seem to be running a bit thin. I went with Royal Purple Synchromax but it would be nice to know the alternatives and comparisons
