dangerous brain
Was it not insured then?? As its not registered on the insurance and will have cost him £6k++ surely not many people can afford to take a loss like that?

Homer
Was it not insured then?? As its not registered on the insurance and will have cost him £6k++ surely not many people can afford to take a loss like that? I guess he had third party F&T insurance; it's not uncommon amongst those (young) individuals desperate to own their dream car. Sad end to a Supra, but at least its one more Veilside 'spoilered' car off the road.
Scoboblio
I've always been told by insurance companies that they insist on fully comp insurance for anything worth over £5k, presumably to stop young or inexperienced drivers owning anything too powerful and crashing it into a Ferarri or some other exotic machinary..... so unfortunately as Supra prices drop even lower we'll probably see quite a few that are pranged and never repaired
Darragh
i think its fully comp for £2000 and up

suprz_rz
He did say he had insurance and that the reason he wanted a soop was that it was only a few quid more on insurance than his GTiR. I guessed that he was talking about fully comp, but if he isnt making a claim then he either didnt have insurance, or he only had TPF&T. Not what I would have done on a car like that, but as Homer said, maybe it was the only way he could run a soop at 21. And Homer, Whats wrong with a veilside spoilered car? Each to his own and all that:twak:
suprz_rz
Hey, its up to £720 now. I reckon he night get to £1000 buy the end of the auction. How much would an engine/autobox go for? I cant think there is anything else worth much left on it, other than maybe the glass/door/boot and interior stuff ( seats etc..)

Alex
Everything is worth something on that car (bar the broken bits) if you have the space, time and patience to strip it down and sell on then you'll make a lot of money.
