Branners
theres a number of threads on the BBS about having the starter refurbished. I had mine done and including parts it was about £75 so not going to be a killer. When Phoenix first looked at mine they reached down the side of the starter and fiddled with something as they said sometimes it just needs a nudge but mine was more terminal than that. absz
what needs nudging....i am lookin at the right thing arent i....right hand side by the bulkhead???? you need to have someone in the drivers seat, get them to hold the ignition on the start position while you tap the stater motor with a light hammer might do the trick if its a sticky solenoid. TrickTT
Look in the FAQ section, there's a good thread on how to refurb the starter contacts. Costs about £15.00 if you do it yourself. Its an easy job.
