wez_p
With regards to the uprated fuel pump on a decatted J Spec does anyone know whether this would lead to an immediate increase in fuel consumption, even when driving conservatively, or does it just mean that it would be capable of feeding more fuel when asked to? I came across this old post whilst having a search & wondered if anyone had any more recent findings or recommendations (the Walbro 255lph was the one i'd been assuming to be best choice): http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=6915&highlight=fuel+pump+consumption cheers, Wes

JohnK
I cant see how changing the pump would increase MPG as long as your not raising the fuel pressure and nothing else has changed engine managment wise, you will still be putting the same ammount of fuel into the engine for the same engine conditions as before.
