ChrisSZ
Hi, does anyone know if RX8 rims (5 X 114, 40 offset, 8J 18") will fit OK on my N/A Supe? Bidding for a set on ebay and been offered a set going very cheap too so I need to know if they are gonna fit. Anyone?? Please??

ChrisSZ
Cheers Nic, 9" seems a little redundant on a N/A though?? PS. Let us know if you get an even better deal on the HIDs - I was toying with the idea of some cheap ones on ebay but I've now bottled out LOL

Let us know if you get an even better deal on the HIDs - I was toying with the idea of some cheap ones on ebay but I've now bottled out LOL I wouldn't say a set of 9" rears on the back of the NA were redundant, it is still a relatively powerful car and so the more grip you get the better. I would go for a set of wheels that are at least the same width as the standard TT/late model NA wheels wheels.
Ben-san
I have considered this too... having seen the RX8 in someone's space at home. I love those wheels, but AFAIK they only come in one width. I wouldn't put them on the rear, even if I had normal aspiration - it would look cosmetically wrong.

Ian W
my n/a has 9j on rear........
Nic
But the standard 16" rims are 'only' 8J too?? 17" x 8J and 17" x 9J were a performance option offered by Toyota on the early Supras (including the NA's) and standard on some later models. ChrisSZ
Ah ha!! That's my 'something new' learnt for today then LOL. Gonna go with the Rex rims for now as I've been offered a set at a very reasonable price and there's no way I'll be able to afford a grand for a set of rims right now (maybe in 6 months??). I can get 245/35/18 rubber over them, which should be slightly wider than the current set-up.
Ian W
nope, the rears are 245s wide as standard i'm afraid. you going the same tyre size all the way round?!
Nic
there's no way I'll be able to afford a grand for a set of rims right now (maybe in 6 months??). If you can afford £851 Chris, you could get yourself a set of brand new, lightweight, 18x9/18x10, SA-70's just like mine, delivered to your door See installed pics HERE
Ian W
now they ARE nice wheels!! they the correct off-set as well Nic?
Nic
now they ARE nice wheels!! they the correct off-set as well Nic? Offset is +32, so a little wider than stock, but with the alignment adjusted the car handles extremely well now. The reduction in weight over my old set of wheels is also noticable. ChrisSZ
I'd love to Nic - thanks for the offer but ATM my credit card is maxed out (after trying to revive my GT4) so it's gonna be all on a very cheap budget for now. Supra-man, been out and checkde my current (standard JDM rims) = 225/50/16!!
Rayman
I like them wheels a lot NIC, how much does import tax cost and do they come in other colours? Thanks
Nic
I like them wheels a lot NIC, how much does import tax cost and do they come in other colours? Thanks The colours on both photos are not great, in some light they look grey, in others bronze. Weds were suppose to be launching a black chrome version at last weeks Tokyo car show, the price will be more though. I'll try to get some pics/prices from my supplier tomorrow. I'll pm you about the other matter.

One day I'll get myself some seriously nice rims though. For now..................thoughts (yes, the car needs a bloody good wash and I haven't fitted the centre caps yet:tongue: )
