ADD
my mate at work has got an FD rx7, its got a full decat, aftermarket exhaust, aftermarket airfilters dynoed at 325bhp at the wheels! would my bpu soop be faster? we both have to go down the same dual carridgeway to get home, so it may be a fun evening! Ian W
Could be close although i'd have thought he'd have a weight advantage over you. The Supe may have slightly longer gearing though depending on how many leptons you get to before backing down :-)
ADD
i thought they would be evenly matched
Ian W
shouldn't be too much in it i don't think......who's the better driver?
Bobbeh
I think from a roll you 'should' take him... but his car is light with a lot of power. I presume hes manualso if depends if he can shift well too, will be a close run anyway
Jurgen-Jm-Imports
interesting i await results, i think his bhp at wheels seems high for his mods is this not his fly figure ? if its fly figures i think it will be clsoe then the supe should pull away if its bpu if its at the wheels we are talking near 400bhp rather than 300bhp so the rx should pull away to about 160 then it depsnd who has more bottle. hard to judge be interesting to see results

Prof. Monkey
That 7 has a high RWHP for the mods, correct me if I am wrong but the standard 7 has 230bhp at the flywheel. The 7 is light and powerfull, but on a straight run the soop should kick some wankel-ass. Cornering the 7 is awesome!

Rich
depends what age it is ,the early ones have about 240 hp and later on they were increased to 280hp,I think these figures are at the crank.
ADD
i think his standard when he got it was
Prof. Monkey
yes u are wrong, they have about 280bhp at the fly Only if its the Type R. Best thing, is in the snail and hare race, when the 7 is having its engine rebuilt the soop will be rocketing about.
