supragold
Why would it be? Its no different from a single pumping the air through it. I know someone who's done it on their auto and the difference was unreal, complete different car now.

Matt Harwood
Don't you sacrifice top end with ttc?? Not that any of us would dream of breaking any speed limits No, you sacrifice bottom end power as you lose the quicker spool of the first turbo. ADD
how do you do it? is it lots quicker?
Pig
Nope, just feels completly different. I found it felt faster! Hecklers website has directions for ttc and ettc. do the ttc first to see what you think. Then you can do ettc after that if you like it. I have the switch you need for sale as i can use mine if you want!

mr keef
Yea but say a bpu supe on stock turbos running 16psi and then changing to T61 and running 16psi Would there be a massive difference? Anyone?
Matt Harwood
Anyone? Yes, but I don't have any figures to show exactly what the gain is. My ass dyno would guess at about 50bhp with like for like pressures

My ass dyno would guess at about 50bhp with like for like pressures I think you'll find he car would make a fair bit more torque, and torque is what really matters. Cheers Terry. thats what i was hoping,Its just in the past on many other cars i'v had, people have went on about tuning mods making a massive difference, and to be honest i'v been less than impressed when i ended up doing them. Matt Harwood
Power is great, but Torque wins races http://www.tomstickland.co.uk/astra/homework/hwork.htm#difference_between_torque_and_power

You need to bag a ride in a properly tuned small single mate, I think it would surprise you. If you ever down this way feel free to give me a shout. Matt Harwood
What sort of boost will i be hitting with out a boost controller terry? And whats max safe to hit with one??? Depends on what the wastegate spring is rated at Jon. Usually ~1.1 bar I believe. (mine is 1.2 without boost controller)
Pig
Thanks, so will still be slow Whats the max a T61 can be pushed to?
Guest Terry S
Yeah as Matt says, the spring is a 1.1, will prolly hit 1.2-1.3 in top gear mate. I have been running mine wastegate only for ages TBH
