watched jarhead and serenity

Jarhead is brilliant - serenity is a good sci-fi film worth watching

Got a few others but can't remember what?!?

What torrent site do you use Stealth, i, and it seems a few others, can only get hold of screeners. Did you get a DVD Rip or a screener?

Love these 'live action' Manga flicks... completely insane stories, crazy visuals and just go 'too far' everytime... nothing else will do...

when was mediocre ever a good example to leave our kids?

Takashi Miike, we salute you!! :woot:

Yup quality movie. Love the piercings. If you like that, watch a film called OldBoy. Feking awasome film but the scene with the octopus still goes through me.

The Octopus scene was sick! (not sick in an american schoolboy type way)...the other bit that i thought about for weeks was when he chopped off his tongue...gross - the things i'm made to watch...

OMG! just seen the trailer for Hostel! :scare:

http://www.diehostel.de/eng/index.html

click on Trailers

I've just spent the last hour watching all the trailers and TV spots and a half hour Q&A session... feel like I've seen it now... the eyeball scene wasn't that bad... didn't feel the need to call a paramedic or anything?

thought he'd 're-written the rules on horror'... pah... damm hype machine..

OK I'll retract that judgement until I've seen the whole thing... I'm open minded..

The freak that I am... :sos:

Thought i'd resurrect this thread....just watched Wolf Creek.:hunter:

Urgh i still feel sick now. Spent the last probably 10 mins of the film under a blanket. I'm not normally bad with horror films (mike's favourite) but this one was particularly gruesome...

Anyway if you like that kind of stuff this is for you...:( :eek2:

three i would recommend with Angelica Lee are Koma, The Eye, The Eye 2

also the original three Japanese Ring movies (Ring 0 Birthday, Ring Ring2), not the crap US ones with Naomi Watts

Matsushima Nanako and Nakama Yukie ^^

edited to add: if you like live action manga then check out GTO. also Gokusen, they are both comedy drama, but really worth watching.

time to go and watch Johnathan Woss and his asian tv doc :)

not seen The Eye films but watched all the Ring ones... very good... I actually thought the yank re-make of Ring 1 wasn't too bad... good contorted face and that...

Wolf Creek was very nasty.. one of the best I've seen in ages.. and the characters are really likable, which makes it even more horrible...

Hostel on the other hand... Jesus what a let down... the main characters were straight out of the hit eighties comedy 'Porkeys'.. by the time the chainsaw starts buzzing I wanted to 'do them' myself... brats... avoid...

the hype machine that surrounds some films eh... ?

anyway I have Devils Rejects for tomorrow night... having a bit of a horror festival in our house this week... Charlottes watched the last ten minutes of Wolf Creek from under a large purple blanket... how funny?!
