RobSheffield
ok, it would have to be a lack of power to the box - the red wire, or perhaps the white having a problem somewhere along its length - cant think of any other reason why speedo wouldnt work also appeared to be that the engine management warning light came on - is it possible my speed sensor is a bit dead? dangerous brain
Dood mine did this after I jump started it. Spoke to pete and he said they do that sometimes. He said to send it back up to them to get it re-programmed. It started working again on its own accord after I had left the battery out of it for over a week. Coincidence??? I don't know. All you have to do is follow the wires that are coming off the thor box and check them to see if they are connected. If they all are check that the box is getting 12 volts with a multimeter. Then if you have access to gps or A nother person capable of 120 take the car out and see if it will go through the limiter. If it does it may be programming problems and the box may have to go back to thor.
dangerous brain
No mate I got a speed sensor engine management light come on. Approximately at 60 mph ish. As I said stick a multimeter across the power in and earth and see if its got power to it. If you don't have a multimeter then hack it down the road and see if you get through the limiter. If you do the box has got power.
SupraStar 3000
I've had the same .... TWICE. Think mine was related to my EL Glo dials tho. sent the SLD back to THOR and he re-programmed it.
RobSheffield
jump started it (i know, but i gotta go somewhere tomorrow!) so perhaps this is a clue...
dangerous brain
Mine fixed itself. disconnect the battery overnight or so and see what happens.
RobSheffield
ok - ill try that maybe it just requires an ECU reset? ill try pulling the 2 fuses and see if it works - all in the name of science you know
grouse
Did you find out how to cure this as mine has just done the same after sitting idle for 4 months and jump starting it? George
Scoboblio
Do your interior lights work? When I blew the fuse for those the speedo stopped working No idea why as I couldn't see it described anywhere, but worth checking before you rip the dash apart! dangerous brain
If disconnecting the battery overnight doesn't fix it then you'll probably have to send the unit back to thor for re-programming.

I would suspect this is because whoever wired it in used the interior lights for a power signal in some way?
