RobSheffield
OK, thisis one for the traders/ tech experts! My car has a Greddy remote oil filter relocating kit with 10 row oil cooler on it. i want to remove the oil cooler because its leaking/damaged. it also has 2 Greddy guages connected into the sandwich plate. i now have 2 Defi guages to fit. questions are: 1) is there a blanking plug for the oil cooler takeoff? 2) what thread is the Defi EGT probe, will it fit into the tapped hole for the reddy EGT guage probe? 3) what thread is the Greddy oil temp guage sender? 4) what thread is the Greddy oil press guage sender? and also - is there a bung i can get? 5) what thread is the defi oil temp guage sender? will the defi fit? or can i buy a new sandwich plate adaptor? i dont want to lose the remote filter part of it is it possible to get a Defi adaptor that is like a sandwich plate? i can, if requied, take pictures tomorrow of the relevant parts. as an aside im concerned as to the location of the EGT probe at the minute - id like advice on that - from pictures apologies for the long post. hope you guys know what im babbling about Rob
Chris Wilson
I'd remove the sandwich plate and put the filter back in the stock location, then put the pressure sender in a Lexus adaptor (use SEARCH) and the temp probe in the sump plug, using an HKS adaptor. RobSheffield
hi Chris, glad you replied. is the relocator not much use then? im removing the pressure sender, sticking with temperature for now.
Chris Wilson
IMO no, it's just extra unnecessary plumbing. I like to leave the filter as Toyota intended, and just run a sandwich plate with a `stat in it to feed the cooler. If I had to choose between temp or pressure I'd always go for pressure, which in most cases is temp sensitive anyway.
