carl0s
Lastly, the black writing at the top, I was assuming it would say Parallel or Printer or something, but there's always the remote possibility that this could be meant for serial, although 25-pin serial ports are a rarety these days. Can you confirm John? thanks
Pete
I'm more worried about the green text that roughly translated says "resistor adjust R1,R2 for anal probe ferocity 4.7 .... 10 KOhm"
geoffvalenti
Lastly, the black writing at the top, I was assuming it would say Parallel or Printer or something, Literally it reads Pazvem printera, so parallel printer is a pretty good guess

carl0s
http://translation2.paralink.com/ Online job, may help prob see it already but anyway there she blows. Thanks. Actually, Babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com) does a remarkable job on Russian. There must be some serious similarities between Russian and English for the translations to become so perfect. It really does come out that good though! Anyhoo, the problem here is that the text is in an image so without Russian character-recognition (ocr) software it'd be no good as there's no text to feed into the translater. Thanks for the help everybody, it's been very much appeciated. Unfortunately though I have a (perhaps) bigger problem on the horizon. The application I need to use is also written in Russian Here it is http://atprog.boom.ru/CHAMEL05.ZIP I need to read the contents of a 24c02 eeprom and then save it (a dump of the eeprom contents) to a file somewhere. Does anyone know of any software which purports to be a hex-editor style ascii search & replace with Russian to English translation? hmmm. not likely I don't think John_M, Geoff, are you guys really doing what I think you are? Opening some kind of Russian on-screen keyboard and typing out the words before putting them into altavista babelfish? Good grief
SupraWoman
CarlOs I just tried to open that zip folder, but I can't read anything there... Most of folders look empty, or some of them have something but it doesnt make any sense.. I laso couldnt read any Russian there - its all look like abracadabra.. Probably I only can read Russian texts in normal window view?.. You're welcome to email me the text, as far as its not too big - I'll translate it for you, no problems.
